Chef Andrew Niedenthal

Andrew Niedenthal, who studied his art at Baltimore's International Culinary Arts Institute, moved to Cheeca Lodge, Key Largo in 1990, advancing to executive sous-chef. Florida's wonderful seafood is nothing new to Niedenthal: In Baltimore, another place known for its seafood, he worked at P.J. Crickets, Dante's Admiral's Cup and Admiral Fell Inn before moving to the Keys. As Florida's representative chef in the first Great American Seafood Cook Off in 2004, he showcased his talents featuring Florida seafood. He is currently Executive Chef at Peter Island Resort, British Virgin Islands.
Niedenthal has been a member of the American Culinary Federation since 1991. He has participated in Taste of Miami and Taste of Islamorada, and has been featured on several Great Chefs shows. Niedenthal won bronze and silver medals in various ACF competitions, the silver at ACF's Seafare Americas Seafood Challenge. He also won the ACF Best Dessert in Show Trophy at the Seafare Americas Seafood Challenge.
